Cornell Cooperative Extension of Warren County NY

In 1914, President Woodrow Wilson signed the Smith-Lever Act, which was aimed at educating adults by “diffusing among the people of the United States useful information on subjects related to agriculture and home economics…” by “taking the university to the people.” For over 90 years, Cooperative Extension has been delivering credible information to rural and urban communities in New York State through workshops, meetings, field study, and web articles.

The Cooperative Extension of Warren County (CCE), backed by Cornell University, regularly brings trusted information on agriculture, environmental education, nutrition and health, life skills, youth development, and community development to the people of Warren County. Programs through CEE are offered by locally based extension experts, educators, and volunteers, bringing the university to participants  at their jobs, schools, homes and apartments, libraries, and parks.
