Getting Around: Queensbury Public Transit
Capital District Transportation Authority (CDTA)
The Capital District Transportation Authority (CDTA) provides low cost, fixed route public transit services to Queensbury and the greater Glens Falls area. The routes, which were previously operated by Greater Glens Falls Transit (GGFT), span portions of Warren, Washington and Saratoga counties and include Queensbury, Glens Falls, South Glens Falls, Lake George, Hudson Falls, Kingsbury, Fort Edward, and Moreau.
GGFT became part of the CDTA transportation network on January 1, 2024. Please note the new Route numbers outlined below:
- Route 402: Bay College – between Ridge St. Terminal and SUNY Adirondack
- Route 404: Hudson Falls/Fort Edward – between Ridge St Terminal and Amtrak Station
- Route 405: Moreau/S. Glens Falls – between Ridge St. Terminal, South Glens Falls, and Moreau
- Route 407: West Glens Falls – between Ridge St. Terminal and West Glens Falls
- Route 411: Glen Street/Walmart – between Ridge St. Terminal and Route 9 Walmart
- Route 412: Glen Street/Aviation Mall – between Ridge St. Terminal, Aviation Mall, and Montcalm Apartments
- Route 419: Route 9/Lake George – between Ridge St. Terminal and Lake George Village
Routes operate Monday through Friday, from 6:30am to 9:45pm, and on Saturdays from 8:00am to 6:00pm.
The regular fare is $1.00 with 50 cent transfers between buses. Customers 60+ years of age, those who are Medicare eligible, and persons with a documented disability can ride for half fare. Multi-ride passes are available along with single ride tokens. Multi-ride passes may be purchased at Glens Falls City Hall or by contacting the CDTA Glens Falls office.

Lake George Trolley Service
CDTA operates the Lake George Trolley Service from Memorial Day weekend through Columbus/Indigenous Peoples’ Day weekend. The Lake George Trolley provides easy access to:
- Six Flags Great Escape
- Lake George Outlets
- Lake George RV Park
- Lake George Village
- Hearthstone Point Campground
- Diamond Point
- Bolton Landing
- Glens Falls
Route 876: Glens Falls-Lake George Trolley – between Ridge St. Terminal Glens Falls and Beach Rd. Lake George with stops at Six Flags Great Escape, Lake George RV Park and the Lake George Outlets.
Route 877: Lake George-Bolton Trolley – between Beach Rd. Lake George and Bolton Landing with stops in Lake George Village, Hearthstone Campground and Diamond Point.
Trolleys run every 20 to 30 minutes from 8:00am to 11:00pm. The fare for the Lake George Trolley is $1.00, and service is free for children 5 and younger.
